This is the Typical Sunday night post, the last thing i'll officially write today. I wanted it to be something different, something else. Going around the internet I came across several images of an advertising campaign for a film that premiered or will be available In Cinemas August 14, 2015. Truly the trailer of this movie called my attention, I speak of "Straight Outta Compton".
The main theme of the movie appears to be very interesting and show to us the truly rap and hip hop roots. and of course is produced by the big names of it. Gods of gangsta rap reach the big screen. Straight Outta Compton highlights the hardcore beginnings for rap icons, N.W.A. The young, West coast group formed in the late 80’s.
The extended trailer depicts a young Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and many known faces bursting on the music scene with violent, unheard of lyrics painting a picture of how raw their reality was in the streets of California. “Speak a little truth and people lose they mind,” Dre says. What really put my attention on this was tha i saw a great collection of pictures with this advertizing campaing image, using big techno scene names like Dudfire, Richie Hawtin and many more... Straight Outta Compton stars O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell as Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, and is directed by F. Gary Gray (Friday, Set It Off, The Italian Job). The drama is produced by original N.W.A members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, who are joined by fellow producers Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright. Will Packer serves as executive producer of the film alongside Gray, David Engel, Bill Straus, Ronald G. Muhammad, Scott Bernstein and Adam Merims.
